Happy Valentine's Day!

Decisions, decisions...

Beautiful full bar

Some lighting to set the mood...

Now time for some food porn! Beef bone marrow...drools*

Fried meat balls stuffed with quail egg that still had runny yolk inside...dies*

Blood orange and beat salad...gotta have your greens!

Shepards pie...the pork skins on top are shaped in "MW" for Martins West ;)

Why hello there...

The Moscow Mule- the favorite of the night. Kind of of like your favorite college jungle juice (beer, lemonade, etc... )

Really friggin strong cocktails...

Cheers*

And some sugahhh to finish the night (these were from Whole Foods)

Happy Lovers Day! Yes, it is kind of a cheezy American holiday, but I don't mind having an excuse to try out a new restaurant! This year, the boyfriend and I decided to try something new- since I live/work in San Francisco, and he in San Jose, we decided to meet halfway for some good eats! We ended up deciding on Martins West Gastropub in Redwood City, which is a city in the bay area that neither of us have visited even though it's only 30 minute drive from either of our locations. The city itself has kind of a cozy, old-town feel, which is also carried into many of their local eateries and shops including Martins West Gastropub. They have some pretty tasty Scottish food, which is reminiscent of German food, and a huge array of cocktails, wine, and beer. Tasty food, strong drinks, relaxed ambiance, a bit pricey, but nonetheless induced us into a nice food/drink coma at the end of the night. :)

The Best Find Ever: Black and Tan Striped Sweater

I know this is kind of old, but I had been on the hunt for an equally cute but wallet-friendly version of the black and tan-sweater trend seen last season. It's versatile enough to wear dressed up or down, but trendy enough to add an extra pop to an otherwise simple outfit.

This one seen seen on Kate Moss is from Isabel Marant Fall 2010 collection, where she lends her rock and roll feel by pairing it with acid wash jeans.

Here is the same sweater in color.

And this one is by Stella McCartney.

I pretty much forgot about this until the other today when I came across the best find ever! And I don't use that phrase too often! I was browsing through the sale rack at Urban Outfitters, which is really the only part of the store that I look through. I find it hard to pay full-price for most of the things there. Well, for most things in general. What can I say, I like a good deal. Anyway, the point was I found this great black and tan striped slouchy sweater by BDG on sale for $30! It's slouchy enough, soft and cozy, has added detail in the ribbing, great price - yep, sold upon eye-contact. Outfit post coming up asap...with some new SnazzyFRESH shades of course!
